I have mentioned the double bottom ‘W’ pattern and XABCD Harmonic pattern in Nifty in the pre-market analysis on 25-01-2024. With the help of Reliance, which crossed the ‘all time high’ today, and banking stocks, Nifty opened gap up and rallied 400 points today. Nifty reached the Harmonic pattern target of 21750 in a single day.
New political developments in Bihar might also have helped the rally in Nifty along with the union budget news. Bihar has 40 seats in the Loksabha. By snatching power in Bihar, it is almost certain that the current union government will stay after the general elections 2024 which will boost infrastructure development and liberalisation further. Also, markets are always placed at higher points just before an important event such as the budget.
Now 21750 is the PRZ (Potential Reversal Zone) which will act as a resistance. Once it is broken, the next target could be 21840. Above 21840, there is a gap in the Nifty till 21970. 22030 & 22125 will act as resistances above 21970. Intraday support in Nifty is 21670 while daily support stands at 21470-500.
